In the Community
California Bank of Commerce is actively and passionately involved in ensuring the communities where we live and work have the support needed so everyone has an opportunity to succeed. Social responsibility is part of our DNA – whether helping students, promoting a clean environment, supporting healthcare needs, or the dozens of other initiatives and opportunities that our communities offer. Here are some of the ways that we are In The Community:
Corporate Work-Study program
California Bank of Commerce is proud to help many aspiring young people in our region through the Cristo Rey schools Corporate Work Study program. Students work at any of our Northern California offices — interacting with staff, mastering technical skills, and gaining the real-world experience in relationship building and decision making necessary for success in business.

David Maxim
Art Program
Successful banking is a fine art that relies on commitment to clients’ security, safe asset growth, reliable planning, knowledge of possibilities, and insights to new developments. The versatility of outlook that keeps our team energized toward new goals is exemplified by our Arts Program. Paintings and sculptures by David Maxim grace all California Bank of Commerce locations. A veteran Bay Area artist who has shown nationally and internationally, Maxim’s works deal with a range of subjects and techniques, from brilliantly exciting mountain landscapes, to figure sculptures concerning the human condition, exploratory abstracts that focus on the process of painting, and presentations of animals that remind us of state-of-the-planet concerns. His art is daring and challenging, yet reveals underlying principles of visual art traditions seen in a new light, making the old new again as he continues forward, confidently, fearlessly to further explorations.
