Thomas M. Park, Executive Vice President,
is a resident of Orinda, California. Reporting to the Chief Credit Officer, he is a member of the Bank's Executive Management Committee and solicits new commercial loan and deposit business throughout the Bank's service area.
Mr. Park has thirty years of banking experience, encompassing retail office management, commercial lending, real estate lending and business development, all in the East Bay. After graduating from UC Davis, he joined The Mechanics Bank in 1977 as a Management Trainee. Post graduating from the Management Training Program, Mr. Park managed various retail offices for The Mechanics' Bank. In 1989 he formed and managed the first unit at the bank focused exclusively on developing new commercial lending relationships, reporting directly to the bank's President. He was the youngest member of the bank's Management Committee, and also served on the bank's Loan Committee.
In 1994 Mr. Park opened and managed a de-novo commercial lending office in Oakland for The Mechanics Bank, the bank's first Oakland office. In 1997 he was promoted to Regional Vice President, and in 1999 promoted to Senior Vice President.
In 2003 Mr. Park formed and managed the East Bay Commercial Lending Group, combining commercial lending and deposit operations in Hayward, Oakland, Richmond and Walnut Creek into one unit headquartered in Walnut Creek. The largest and most complex commercial borrowers at The Mechanics Bank were domiciled in this unit. Trade Finance and Small Business Lending also reported to Mr. Park.
